IMAGE MANIPULATION

Image manipulation can be done for several reasons.  In the image below, a man had spent years rebuilding
this classic car, took a photo, and sold the car.  He wanted a nice image to "remember her by", so I put the
car in his favorite setting -- the California Redwoods.

This image of my great grandfather was blurry and faded, and printing a copy of him "by himself" would have
shown my mothers arm in the photo.  I sharpened the image, adjusted the color, and removed my mothers arm
by copying part of the right side of the image and virtually continuing the knitted throw.

This lovely young lady is an example of a common request -- "Can you cut out this person from the
picture?"  Sometimes it's an "ex" or a coworker.  In this case, it was an aunt wanting a picture of her
niece by herself.  I continued the tree downward and used part of the other side of the image to fill.

This handsome young thing is me.  I include this in the "Image Manipulation" section because
I didn't like the old log in the cropped picture -- it looked like it was about to hit me in the head.
I was able to pull out most of the color and repair the damage to the surrounding areas as well.

This classic "Photoshop Tutorial" really shows off what you can do to an image.
